You can follow the virus as it evolves throughout different parts of the world. Fuck, that movie sucked even worse!Ĭabin Fever is such a brilliant idea for a fun goofy anthology series. Ugh that movie sucks.īut it gets worse! Instead of fixing anything that was broken, they decide to remake the original shot for shot with the same script (except they cut about 90 pages), a genderswapped police officer with no character or charm, and called it good. Heck, I even like the sequel for what it is.īut then the third one, the prequel came out and took a massive shit on everything and everyone it touched. It's just a fun love letter to horror and comedies before it and it's done so very well. Cabin Fever (2002) ‘Cabin Fever’ is a horror comedy film co-written and directed by Eli Roth. One of the film’s main themes is the concept. Often artists express themes in works that they find most appropriate, but are perhaps disturbing to most people (and perhaps that is partially the point in expressing things that way).I could go on and on about the Cabin Fever series, and so I will. Cabin Fever (2002) Cabin Fever is a horror movie about fear, isolation, and the downfall of social stability in the face of a deadly virus. You can make the same argument against Lars von Trier films, as someone noted. I think you can look at artists in other media and pose the same question. I watched it out of morbid curiosity and then regretted it, but I think that curiosity is a large driving force for people seeking out such films. Likewise, I think Society (which I have seen) is also a pretty scathing criticism of the wealthy, especially "Old Money". I don't know the director's precise political views, I just recall him saying that in an interview. Not my cup of tea that sort of thing.I have not seen A Serbian Film (and have no desire to), but my understanding is that it's a very visceral metaphor for the Serbian government's treatment of its people. Haven't seen the others, or Serbian for that matter.Ī movie like Street Trash or even Serbian Film in my opinion theyre just a bit too far out there, too wild, disgusting. I may have a radically different opinion on a second watch, with expectations firmly in tow.Īs to how anyone could like it or want to voluntarily watch it- for me the purchase was prompted byġ) I was interested in the themes and how successfully, or not, this particular material worked with themĢ) I wanted to see if Devin DeVasquez could act.ģ) Arrow is a quality label so I figured there was some value to the film if they were going to produce an SE for it.Ĥ) I may have been feeling nostalgic for the late 80's around the time I ordered it. I definitely didn't have the high opinion of it that I've seen others express for it, and which prompted me to give it a shot in case I'd missed some kind of buried treasure. I didn't think I would ever want to see it again anytime this soon after seeing it, for the first time, in 2019 (or was it 2018?). ![]() I just want to know who these movies are for anyway.įunny you mention Society as that film has been on my mind recently and I going to try to locate where I stored it to pull it out and have it handy to watch again sometime in the next few months. ![]() I apologize but by the way I didn call anyone out or name any names here anyway so Im not exactly "insulting" anyone here. ![]()
